Silicone cable, high temperature resistant acc. to UL/CSA SiHF UL/CSA 7G0,5mm² black, conductor identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 23219

Extremely durable silicone cable for extreme conditions.

This 7-core silicone cable, characterized by high temperature resistance, is designed for applications requiring reliability in harsh conditions. It meets UL/CSA standards and is ideal for both professional installers and end-users who need a durable and safe solution. This cable stands out for its flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it a versatile choice in many industries.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of tinned copper conductors (class 5 or 6 according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228), which ensures good conductivity and flexibility. The core insulation is made of silicone, and the outer jacket is also made of silicone, guaranteeing high thermal and chemical resistance. The cores are twisted longitudinally for better protection against mechanical damage. Core identification is done using colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – black or colored with white numbering. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 cores upwards).

This cable is distinguished by a wide range of permissible operating temperatures: from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C) and resistance to radiation up to 20x10^6 cJ/kg (20 Mrad). It is also resistant to many oils, greases, alcohols, diluted acids and alkalis, and atmospheric conditions. Importantly – it is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire and meets the standards of DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1.

Applications and benefits

HELUTHERM SiHF-UL/CSA cable is used in many industries:

  • Power plants: thanks to its high thermal and dielectric resistance.

  • Steel, aerospace and shipbuilding industries: where reliability is required in harsh conditions.

  • Ceramics, glass and cement plants: due to resistance to high temperatures and chemical factors.

  • Flexible connections: ideal as a connecting cable due to the high flexibility of the insulation.

Key advantages:

  • High operating temperature: constant temperature up to +180°C (short-term +220°C), minimum -60°C.

  • Chemical resistance: to oils, greases, alcohols, acids and alkalis.

  • Halogen-free: increased fire safety.

  • Flexibility: facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.

  • Compliance with standards: UL/CSA and DIN VDE ensure a high standard of quality and safety.

  • Radiation resistance: enables operation in environments exposed to ionizing radiation.

The core cross-section is 0.5 mm², and the outer diameter is approximately 10.4 mm. The rated voltage U is 500 V and the operating voltage is 300/500V (VDE) or 600V (UL/CSA). The cable meets the requirements of the CE standard – product compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
