High-temperature silicone wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This two-core silicone wire, with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard wires fail. It meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing its high quality and safety. Ideal for both industrial and specialized electrical installations.
Construction and properties
The wire is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures – up to +180°C in continuous operation and up to +220°C for short periods. It maintains flexibility even at low temperatures, operating from -60°C. Silicone insulation provides excellent dielectric properties and resistance to many chemicals, oils, and UV radiation. The copper cores are tinned, which increases their corrosion resistance and facilitates connections. Wire marking according to DIN VDE 0293-308 simplifies identification during installation.
Applications and benefits
The wire is widely used in industries such as: power plants, metallurgy, aerospace, shipbuilding, ceramics, glassworks, and cement plants. Thanks to its flexibility, it is perfect as a connecting wire in places exposed to movement or vibration. Additionally, it is halogen-free, which increases fire safety and complies with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1 standards. Its construction provides resistance to atmospheric and tropical conditions. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 9.1 mm. The rated voltage is 500V.
