Silicone cable, resistant to high temperatures acc. to UL/CSA SiHF UL/CSA 2x6mm² black, conductor identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 23270

Silicone cable for extreme conditions

This two-core silicone cable is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard cabling fails. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, making it an ideal choice for industrial, energy and specialized industries. The cable meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability in critical applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of tinned copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228), surrounded by silicone insulation. The cores are twisted longitudinally to increase flexibility and durability. The whole is covered with an outer silicone coating in black color. Core marking is done according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – cores are black or colored with white numbering (in the two-core version brown and blue). Thanks to the use of high-quality materials, the cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C).

The cable also features a number of additional features:

  • Chemical resistance: Exhibits resistance to oils, greases, alcohols, dilute acids and alkalis, as well as to atmospheric conditions and UV radiation.
  • Halogen-free: Compliant with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1 standards, which minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
  • Flame retardancy: Meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1 and CSA FT1 standards.
  • Dielectric properties: Ensure stable operation under various voltage conditions (rated voltage U: 500 V; test voltage: 2000 V; breakdown voltage: min. 5000 V).
  • Flexibility: Allows easy installation and routing even in tight spaces (minimum bending radius: flexible 7.5xØ cable; stationary 4xØ cable).

Applications and benefits

Silicone cable with a cross-section of 2x6mm² finds application in many industries:

  • Power plants: Due to its high thermal resistance and halogen-free properties.
  • Steel, aviation and shipbuilding industries: In places exposed to extreme temperatures and difficult operating conditions.
  • Ceramics, glass and cement plants: Where high temperatures and an aggressive chemical environment occur.
  • Flexible connections: As a connecting cable in devices requiring frequent movements and bends.

Thanks to its construction and properties, this cable provides long-lasting and reliable operation in the most difficult conditions. It is an investment in the safety and efficiency of the electrical installation. In addition, its radiation resistance (up to 20x10⁶ cJ/kg) expands the range of possible applications.
