Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This 3-core silicone cable with a cross-section of 35mm² is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. Designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C) – it ensures reliable operation even in the most extreme conditions. Its construction and materials guarantee high flexibility and resistance to external factors.
Construction and application
The cable is made of tinned copper cores, which ensures good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The core insulation and outer jacket are made of silicone, a material characterized by exceptional thermal and chemical resistance. Core marking according to DIN VDE 0293-308 (colored or with white numbering) facilitates identification and improves installation safety. This cable finds application in many industries, including power plants, steel industry, aviation, shipbuilding, foundries, and in the production of ceramics, glass and cement. It is ideal as a flexible connection cable where high operating temperature and resistance to mechanical damage are required.
Safety and compliance with standards
The cable meets the stringent standards UL Style 4476 and CSA AWM II A/B, confirming its high quality and safety of use. It is halogen-free (compliant with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1), which means that it does not release toxic gases in the event of a fire. Additionally, it does not spread flames (compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1 and CSA FT1). The rated voltage U is 500V and the test voltage is 2000V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 30.6 mm. The cores are class 5 – flexible stranded wires providing high flexibility during installation.
