Silicone cable, resistant to high temperatures acc. to UL/CSA SiHF UL/CSA 5G1mm² black, wire identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 23229

Silicone cable for extreme conditions

This multi-core silicone cable is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard cabling fails. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, making it an ideal choice for industrial, energy and aerospace applications. The cable meets UL Style 4476 and CSA AWM II A/B standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of tinned copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 cl.5 and IEC 60228), surrounded by silicone insulation. The cores are longitudinally twisted, and in versions with 3 cores or more, there is a yellow-green protective core. The whole is covered with a durable, black silicone coating. This construction provides not only flexibility and ease of installation, but also resistance to a number of external factors.

The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (constant temperature) and briefly up to +220°C. Additionally, it is resistant to radiation, oils, greases, alcohols, acids, alkalis and atmospheric conditions. This is a particularly useful solution in places exposed to extreme working conditions – power plants, steel mills or the aerospace industry. An important aspect is also its halogen-free nature (compliance with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1), which increases fire safety. The cable does not spread flames (according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1 and CSA FT1).

Applications and benefits

This silicone cable finds application in many industries:

  • Energy: ideal for installations in power plants due to its high heat resistance and halogen-free properties.
  • Steel industry: resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environment.
  • Aerospace and shipbuilding industry: flexibility and reliability in difficult operating conditions.
  • Ceramics, glass and cement plants: resistance to high temperatures and dust.
  • Flexible connections: the high flexibility of the insulation makes the cable perfect as a flexible connection cable.

Thanks to its dielectric properties and insulation resistance at high temperatures, it ensures safe and long-lasting operation of devices. In the event of a fire, it leaves only a SiO2 coating, minimizing the emission of toxic gases. Additionally, the identification of cores according to DIN VDE 0293-308 (color or color with white numbering) facilitates installation and servicing of installations.
