Silicone cable for extreme conditions

This 6-core silicone cable, with a cross-section of 1 mm², is designed to operate in demanding temperature conditions. It is characterized by high heat resistance, flexibility and the absence of halogens in its composition, making it an ideal choice for a variety of industrial and specialized applications. The cable meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), insulated with silicone. The cores are twisted longitudinally, and the protective conductor (yellow-green) is present from 3 cores and above. The whole is surrounded by a black silicone coating, providing additional mechanical and chemical protection. Core marking is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 – black or colored cores with white numbering (in the case of a two-core version, brown and blue). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 11.4 mm.

This cable is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to:

  • Polymeric oils and fats
  • Alcohols, plasticizers and chlorophenols
  • Diluted acids and alkalis
  • Substances resulting from salt decomposition
  • Oxidizing substances
  • Atmospheric and tropical conditions
  • Water, oxygen and UV radiation

Additionally, the cable is halogen-free (compliant with DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1) and does not spread flames (compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 / CSA FT1).

Thanks to its high flexibility, it is ideal as a flexible connection cable. In the event of a fire, it leaves only a SiO2 coating, which increases safety. It should be remembered to lay it permanently only in open or ventilated cable ducts – the mechanical properties of silicone may decrease at temperatures exceeding 90°C. The cable meets the requirements of UL and CSA standards, which confirms its high quality and safety.
