Silicone cable, resistant to high temperatures acc. to UL/CSA SiHF UL/CSA 7G1mm² black, wire identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 23231
Extremely durable cable for extreme conditions
This 7-core silicone cable is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. Designed to operate in an extended temperature range, from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C), it is perfect for environments exposed to extreme heat or cold. Its construction and materials guarantee reliability and safety in harsh industrial conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction that provides high flexibility and durability. Tinned copper cores, made in accordance with DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228 (class 5) standards, guarantee good conductivity and corrosion resistance. Silicone insulation provides excellent dielectric properties and resistance to high temperatures. The cores are longitudinally twisted, and in the 3-core and more versions, there is a yellow-green protective core. Core marking is done in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 – black or colored with white numbering (in the two-core version brown and blue). The outer silicone coating provides additional protection against external factors. The cable complies with standards regarding halogen-free materials (DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1) and flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1, CSA FT1).
Applications and benefits
This cable finds application in a wide range of industries, including:
- Power plants: Due to its halogen-free properties and high temperature resistance, it is ideal for use in the energy sector.
- Steel, aerospace and shipbuilding industries: Resistance to extreme conditions makes it reliable in demanding production processes.
- Ceramics, glass and cement plants: Resistance to high temperatures and chemicals guarantees safe operation of equipment.
- Flexible connections: High insulation flexibility makes the cable ideal as a flexible connection cable.
Additionally, the cable is characterized by:
- Resistance to oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, plasticizers and many other chemicals.
- Resistance to weathering and UV radiation.
- High ignition temperature – in case of fire, it leaves a SiO2 coating.
- Compliance with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
The core cross-section is 1 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 11.4 mm. The rated voltage U is 500V. The minimum bending radius for flexible laying is 7.5x the cable diameter, and for stationary laying – 4x the cable diameter.
