This specialized cable, made of silicone, is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard solutions fail. It is characterized by high temperature resistance, in both low and high ranges, making it an ideal choice for industrial and specialized applications. Shielding ensures stable signal transmission, minimizing electromagnetic interference.
This cable is used where reliability and safety are required in difficult conditions – from power plants and steel mills to shipbuilding and cement plants. Thanks to its construction and properties, it is perfect for wiring heating devices and high-power lighting projectors.
Construction and properties
The SiHF-C-Si 4G4 mm² cable stands out with its advanced construction ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. It consists of four multi-strand, flexible copper conductors (class 5), providing flexibility and ease of installation. Each conductor is insulated with high-quality silicone, guaranteeing resistance to extreme temperatures – from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C). The conductors are twisted in layers around a core, and the whole is surrounded by a braid of tinned copper wires acting as a shield. The outer jacket is made of special silicone rubber in brick color.
It is worth noting the halogen-free materials used in the production of this cable – it meets the standards PN-EN 60754-1 and PN-EN 60754-2. This means that in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases, increasing the safety of users and the environment.
Operating parameters and compliance with standards
This cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500 V. It has a high insulation resistance – minimum 20 MOhm x km – guaranteeing effective protection against short circuits and leakage currents. The minimum bending radius for flexible installations is 7.5 x cable diameter, and for fixed installations 4 x cable diameter.
It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250 part 1 and DIN VDE 0285-525-2-83 / DIN EN 50525-2-83 regarding silicone-insulated cables. Additionally, it has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The cable is resistant to many chemicals, vegetable and animal oils, and atmospheric conditions.
