Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This 10-core silicone cable is designed for applications requiring high thermal resistance and flexibility. Made from high-quality materials, it meets UL/CSA standards and ensures reliable operation even in harsh industrial conditions. Ideal for both professional installers and end-users looking for a durable and safe solution.
Construction and properties
The cable features a multi-core construction with silicone insulation, providing exceptional flexibility and resistance to high temperatures. Tinned copper cores, manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards, guarantee good electrical conductivity. Core marking is done in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 – black cores with white numbering or colored cores with white numbering (in the case of a two-core version, brown and blue). Longitudinally twisted cores ensure mechanical stability. Additionally, the presence of a yellow-green protective core (from 3 cores and more) increases safety. The outer jacket made of silicone provides resistance to external factors and facilitates installation.
Applications and benefits
This cable finds wide application in various industries, including:
- Power plants: Thanks to its resistance to high temperatures and halogen-free properties, it is ideally suited for use in environments with increased fire risk.
- Steel, aerospace and shipbuilding industries: Mechanical and thermal resistance make it a reliable choice in demanding working conditions.
- Ceramics, glass and cement plants: Resistance to extreme temperatures and chemicals guarantees long-term operation.
- Flexible connections: The high flexibility of the silicone insulation allows the cable to be used as a flexible connecting cable in mobile devices or those exposed to movement.
Additional advantages:
- Wide operating temperature range: from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C) allows use in extreme conditions.
- Chemical resistance: The cable is resistant to oils, greases, alcohols, acids, alkalis and oxidizing agents.
- Halogen-free: Compliance with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1 standards ensures environmental safety.
- Flame retardancy: Meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B) and CSA FT1.
- Good dielectric properties: Ensure safe and reliable operation of the electrical installation.
