Silicone cable for extreme conditions

This six-core silicone cable, with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, both continuous and short-term, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of industrial applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), insulated with silicone. The cores are twisted longitudinally, and the protective conductor (yellow-green) is present from 3 cores upwards. The whole is surrounded by a black silicone coating, providing additional protection and flexibility. The core marking is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 – black or colored with white numbering (in the case of a two-core version, brown and blue). The cable has an outer diameter of approximately 13.6 mm.

This cable is distinguished not only by its thermal resistance (up to +180°C in continuous operation and +220°C short-term, as well as resistance to low temperatures down to -60°C), but also by its high dielectric properties and resistance to many chemical substances – oils, greases, alcohols, acids, alkalis and others. It is also halogen-free and flame-retardant (compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and CSA FT1 standards). Additionally, it is resistant to radiation up to 20x106 cJ/kg (up to 20 Mrad).

This cable meets UL Style 4476 and CSA AWM II A/B standards and is compliant with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The rated voltage U is 500 V and the working voltage is 300/500V (VDE) or 600V (UL/CSA). The minimum bending radius is 7.5x the cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x the cable diameter for stationary bending.
