Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions

This specialized wire with fluoropolymer FEP insulation is a solution for demanding applications where standard wires fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemicals and flames, making it an ideal choice for harsh industrial environments. Made of silver-plated copper, it provides excellent conductivity and long-lasting reliability.

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire is particularly recommended for installation in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, kitchen appliances and in the chemical industry. Its resistance to aggressive substances makes it indispensable where other wires degrade. Thanks to its flexible construction with a multi-strand class 5 core, installation is easy and convenient.

Construction and properties

This wire stands out with a number of features that guarantee its high quality and durability:

• Core: made of silver-plated copper – ensures excellent electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. Silver plating increases resistance to high temperatures and oxidation.
• Insulation: FEP (HELUFLON®) fluoropolymer – provides exceptional resistance to temperature (up to +205°C, briefly up to +230°C) and to the action of chemicals, oils and gasoline.
• Flexibility: multi-strand class 5 core provides good flexibility and facilitates installation even in tight spaces.
• Rated voltage: 600 V – allows use in medium voltage installations.
• Core cross-section: 0.14 mm² – suitable for applications with low current consumption.
• Outer diameter: approximately 1.2 mm – compact size makes it easy to route wires in tight spaces.

In addition, the wire meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire resistance and is characterized by low water permeability and the absence of silicone and cadmium. The materials used in production do not interfere with painting.
