Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x0.14 mm² white, conductor: silver-plated copper 20265
Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This specialized wire with FEP fluoropolymer insulation is a solution for demanding applications where standard wires fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments, making it an ideal choice for harsh industrial conditions. This wire is used both in cabinet installations and directly in heat-generating devices.
Construction and properties
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire is made of silver-plated copper, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The core is stranded and flexible (class 5), which facilitates installation and provides flexibility in routing. The FEP fluoropolymer insulation guarantees resistance to temperatures from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C) and to the action of flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils and gasoline. Additionally, the material does not contain silicone or cadmium, which is important in applications requiring high purity.
- Temperature resistance: A wide range of operating temperatures (-100°C to +205°C) allows the wire to be used in extreme conditions.
- Chemical resistance: Fluoropolymer insulation provides resistance to aggressive chemicals, which is crucial in the chemical industry and laboratories.
- Flexibility: Stranded core facilitates installation and routing of the wire in tight spaces.
- Safety: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, meeting the standards DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
- Hygiene: Resistant to the development of microorganisms and fungi – important in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Applications
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire performs perfectly in the following applications:
- Installations and construction of cabinet switchboards in places with high temperatures.
- Furnaces, brickworks, heating devices and kitchen appliances.
- Precision temperature measurement devices
- Chemical industry – as wires resistant to aggressive chemicals.
- Applications requiring high radiation resistance (up to 1 x 106 cJ/kg).
- Where complete water resistance and minimal water permeability are required.
The core cross-section of 0.14 mm² and the rated voltage of 600 V make this wire suitable for a wide range of electrical applications. The approximate outer diameter is 1.2 mm. The insulation resistance is minimum 2 GOhm/km and the test voltage is 2500V. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x cable diameter for stationary bending.
