Resistance to extreme conditions – HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable

This single-core cable with FEP fluoropolymer insulation is a solution for demanding applications where resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments is crucial. The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is perfect for industrial installations, construction of control panels, as well as in heating devices, ovens, or chemical laboratories. Its construction guarantees reliable operation even in extreme conditions.

This cable is used where standard solutions fail – in furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, measuring devices, and everywhere where there is contact with corrosive substances, oils or gasoline. Thanks to the special FEP insulation, it is completely resistant to flames, alkalis and acids.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a single tinned copper core with a cross-section of 0.5 mm². The insulation made of FEP fluoropolymer provides exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors. The rated voltage U/U0 is 600 V, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 1.6 mm. The core has flexibility class 5 (multi-strand flexible), which facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.

It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). Additionally, the cable meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire resistance and is characterized by high insulation resistance (minimum 2 GOhm/km). The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x cable diameter for stationary bending.
