Durable FEP cable for extreme conditions
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and aggressive environments. It is ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets, where standard cables fail. Its construction based on FEP fluoropolymer insulation guarantees reliability and long-term operation even in the most demanding conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a silver-plated copper core, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The stranded wire is made in accordance with VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards, which confirms its high quality and flexibility. FEP-HELUFLON® insulation provides exceptional chemical resistance – it is resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food, oils and gasoline. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium, making it safe for the environment and painting processes. The cable is also resistant to microcultures and prevents fungal growth.
It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V, and the test voltage is 2500 V. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x the cable diameter for stationary bending. The cable also has high radiation resistance up to 1 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
