Single-core high-temperature wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This brown single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² is a specialized solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments. Made of tinned copper with FEP fluoropolymer insulation, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation in harsh conditions. This wire is used both in industrial installations and in the construction of switchgear cabinets.
Construction and properties – the key to versatile application
The wire construction is based on a single copper core, tinned for better protection against corrosion. The FEP (fluoroethylene propylene) fluoropolymer insulation guarantees exceptional temperature resistance – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). This makes the wire perfect for use in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, as well as in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, alkalis, acids, oils and gasoline. Additionally, FEP insulation is characterized by low dielectric losses and high radiation resistance. The wire is also non-flammable and resistant to the development of microorganisms.

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire is the ideal choice wherever standard cabling fails. Its flexible construction (class 5) makes installation easy even in tight spaces. It provides a reliable electrical connection in demanding industrial applications and guarantees the safety of the installation thanks to high insulation resistance (minimum 2 GOhm/km) and rated voltage of 600V. Thanks to its resistance to external factors, the wire retains its properties for a long time, minimizing the risk of failure and downtime. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 1.6 mm.
