Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions

This specialized wire with fluoropolymer FEP insulation is a solution for demanding applications where standard wires fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. Ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets.

### Construction and properties

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire stands out with a construction ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Made of silver-plated copper, which provides excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The core is twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards, guaranteeing flexibility and mechanical strength. Insulation with FEP-HELUFLON® provides not only thermal resistance but also chemical and dielectric resistance.

* **Wide temperature range:** The wire retains its properties in the range of -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C), making it ideal for use in furnaces, heating devices or the chemical industry.

* **Chemical resistance:** Completely resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils and gasoline – it will work even in the most aggressive environment.

* **High insulation:** Minimal water permeability and high insulation resistance (minimum 2 GOhm/km) ensure safe use even in humid conditions.

* **Additional advantages:** Non-flammable, resistant to microcultures and fungal growth, completely resistant to ozone and does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

* **Flexibility:** Minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter (flexible) or 4x cable diameter (stationary), making installation easier even in tight spaces.
