Single-core FEP wire for extreme conditions

This high-quality single-core wire with fluoropolymer FEP insulation (HELUFLON®) is designed for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments. It is ideally suited for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets, as well as in heating and kitchen appliances.

The wire is characterized by a flexible construction with a tinned copper core with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², which ensures good conductivity and easy installation. FEP insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to external factors, such as flames, alkalis, acids, oils and gasoline.

Construction and properties

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire stands out with a number of features that make it a reliable solution in difficult conditions:

• FEP insulation: Fluoropolymer insulation provides excellent dielectric properties, high thermal resistance (up to +205°C, briefly up to +230°C) and chemical resistance.
• Tinned copper core: Ensures good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.
• Flexibility: Construction with a multi-strand core class 5 provides flexibility and facilitates cable routing.
• Chemical resistance: The wire is completely resistant to the action of most chemicals, making it ideal for use in the chemical and food industries.
• Low flammability: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
• Radiation resistance: Exhibits resistance to radiation up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
