Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This specialized wire with FEP fluoropolymer insulation is a solution for demanding applications where standard wires fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. Ideal for both industrial installations and building switchgear cabinets.
Construction and properties
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire stands out with its careful construction. Its core is made of tinned copper, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. FEP fluoropolymer insulation guarantees not only mechanical strength, but also resistance to aggressive chemicals, oils, gasoline and radiation. In addition, the materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, minimizing the risk of interference in painting processes.
This wire is also highly flexible thanks to the use of a multi-strand flexible core of class 5. The minimum bending radius allows for easy installation even in tight spaces – flexibly 10x cable diameter, stationary 4x cable diameter. It is worth mentioning its non-flammability and resistance to the development of microorganisms and fungi, which increases safety of use.

Thanks to its properties, this wire ensures long-lasting and reliable operation in difficult conditions, minimizing the risk of failures and downtime. The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V, and the core cross-section is 0.75 mm², the approximate outer diameter is 1.7 mm. Insulation resistance is minimum 2 GOhm/km and dielectric strength min 20 kV.
