Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x0.75 mm² white, conductor: tinned copper 25545
Single-core FEP wire for extreme conditions
This high-quality single-core wire with fluoropolymer FEP insulation (HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y) is designed for applications requiring exceptional temperature resistance and aggressive chemical environments. Ideal for both professional installers and end-users where reliability and safety are key.
Construction and application
The wire is characterized by a tinned copper core, ensuring good conductivity and corrosion resistance. FEP (fluoropolymer) insulation guarantees a wide range of operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). Thanks to these properties, it finds application in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets, especially in places exposed to high temperatures, such as furnaces, brickworks, heating devices or stoves. It will also be useful in the chemical industry, where resistance to flames, alkalis, acids, food, oils and gasoline is required.
Advantages and benefits
- Exceptional thermal resistance: The wire retains its properties over a wide temperature range, making it ideal for use in extreme conditions.
- Chemical resistance: FEP insulation is resistant to most chemicals, ensuring long-term reliability in aggressive environments.
- High flexibility: Flexible stranded core (class 5) facilitates installation and routing of wires in tight spaces.
- Safety: Non-flammable FEP insulation increases safety.
- Low dielectric loss: Ensures efficient signal transmission.
- Radiation resistance: Enables use in environments exposed to radiation.
- Compliance with standards: The wire meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
Technical characteristics
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² has a rated voltage of 600 V and an approximate outer diameter of 1.7 mm. The core is made of tinned copper, which ensures good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The minimum bending radius for flexible installation is 10x cable diameter, and for stationary installation 4x cable diameter. The dielectric strength of the wire is minimum 20 kV and the insulation resistance is min. 2 GOhm/km. The materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
