High-temperature cable for demanding applications

This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in extreme conditions. Made of silver-plated copper and insulated with FEP fluoropolymer, it ensures reliable operation even at very high temperatures. It is ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a 1 x 1.5 mm² construction, which means a single core with a cross-section of 1.5 mm². The copper core is silver-plated, which increases its corrosion resistance and improves conductivity. The FEP (fluoropolymer) insulation provides exceptional resistance to chemical, thermal and mechanical factors. The cable is flexible thanks to the use of a flexible stranded core (class 5). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2.4 mm.

• Exceptional thermal resistance: The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C).
• Chemical resistance: Ideal for aggressive environments – resistant to alkalis, acids, oils, gasoline and food products.
• High insulation: Minimal water absorption and high insulation resistance (minimum 2 GOhm/km) ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Low dielectric losses: Ensure efficient energy transmission.
• Radiation resistance: The cable is resistant to radiation up to 1 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
• Safety: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
