Single-core FEP wire for extreme applications
This high-quality single-core wire with fluoropolymer FEP insulation (HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y) is designed to operate in demanding conditions where standard wires fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, chemicals, and flames, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable solution.
Construction and properties
The wire is made of tinned copper strand with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², providing good flexibility and conductivity. FEP fluoropolymer insulation guarantees a wide range of operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C) – and resistance to aggressive chemical substances, such as alkalis, acids, oils, and gasoline. Additionally, the insulating material is flame retardant and resistant to microorganisms, increasing the safety and durability of the installation. The rated voltage is 600 V, and the insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km. The wire has a conductor class of 5, which means it is a flexible stranded conductor.
