Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x1 mm² transparent, conductor: silver-plated copper 20306
Highly durable cable for extreme conditions.
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in demanding environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, and flames, making it an ideal choice for industrial applications, switchgear cabinets, and heating devices. This cable is particularly valued for its flexibility and reliability, ensuring safe and efficient energy transmission in harsh conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of silver-plated copper, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. FEP (HELUFLON®) fluoropolymer insulation guarantees a wide range of operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). The stranded wire class 5 (according to VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228) provides flexibility and facilitates installation. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium, increasing safety.
- Thermal resistance: The cable retains its properties at extreme temperatures, which is crucial in furnaces, heating devices or brickworks.
- Chemical resistance: Ideal for use in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to aggressive substances – alkalis, acids, oils and gasoline.
- Low flammability: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material (IEC 60332-1-2) increases the safety of the installation.
- High insulation: Fluoropolymer FEP insulation ensures minimal dielectric losses and high insulation resistance (minimum 2 GOhm/km).
- Flexibility: Stranded copper wire facilitates cable routing even in tight spaces.
Applications and parameters
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable finds application in a wide range of installations:
- Switchgear cabinets – resistance to high temperatures and chemicals.
- Furnaces and heating devices – reliable operation in extreme thermal conditions.
- Chemical industry – resistance to aggressive chemical substances.
- Measuring devices – stable electrical parameters and resistance to interference.
- Installations in the food industry - materials do not contain harmful substances for health.
The wire cross-section is 1 mm², and the rated voltage is 600 V. The approximate outer diameter is 2 mm. The cable is also characterized by high radiation resistance (up to 1 x 10^6 cJ/kg). The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x the cable diameter for stationary bending.
