Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x10 mm² blue, conductor: tinned copper 25603
Robust FEP cable for extreme conditions
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is designed for applications requiring high thermal and chemical resistance. Made of tinned copper and insulated with FEP fluoropolymer, it performs perfectly in harsh industrial conditions and specialized installations. The cable is flexible thanks to the multi-wire strand construction of the core (class 5), which facilitates installation and routing.
Application and properties
This cable is widely used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets, especially where extreme temperatures occur – in furnaces, brickworks, heating, kitchen and measuring devices. It is indispensable in the chemical industry due to its absolute resistance to flames, alkalis, acids, food, oils and gasoline. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
- Wide temperature range: The cable maintains its properties in the range of -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C).
- High chemical resistance: Resistant to aggressive chemical substances.
- High insulation: Insulation resistance of at least 2 GOhm/km ensures safe operation.
- Radiation resistance: The cable is resistant to radiation up to 1 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
- Low water absorption: Water absorption below 0.01% guarantees stable operating parameters in a humid environment.
- Non-flammable: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
- Microbiological resistance: Prevents the growth of fungi and microorganisms.
- Waterproof: Completely waterproof – minimal water permeability (approx. 0.18 mg/cm2 in 24 hours).
Technical parameters and construction
The cable is characterized by a core cross-section of 10 mm² and a rated voltage U0/U equal to 600 V. The core is made of tinned copper stranded according to VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl.5 standards, ensuring flexibility and connection durability. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.4 mm. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x for stationary bending. Tests confirm compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
