Robust FEP cable for extreme conditions
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution for installations requiring resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments. The cable is characterized by its flexibility thanks to the multi-wire strand construction of the core, which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces. Designed for both industrial applications and in the construction of control panel cabinets.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of tinned copper, ensuring good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The FEP fluoropolymer insulation guarantees exceptional thermal resistance – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C) – and chemical resistance. This makes it ideal for use in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, as well as in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, alkalis, acids, oils or gasoline. Additionally, the FEP insulation provides minimal water permeability and prevents the development of fungi.
