High-temperature cable for demanding applications
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is designed to operate in extreme conditions where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures – up to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C) – making it an ideal choice for furnaces, heating devices, brickworks installations, and the chemical industry. Made of tinned copper with FEP fluoropolymer insulation, it ensures reliable operation even in the most aggressive environment.
Construction and properties
This cable is distinguished not only by its thermal resistance but also by its chemical resistance. It is absolutely resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils, and gasoline. The FEP-HELUFLON® insulation also provides excellent dielectric properties and minimizes energy losses. The flexible stranded conductor class 5 facilitates installation and ensures installation flexibility. Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, guaranteeing safe use and no impact on painting processes.

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable finds application in a wide range of industries:

It meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 regarding fire resistance and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km, and the test voltage is 2500 V. The minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter for stationary installations and 10x the cable diameter for flexible installations. Conductor cross-section is 10 mm², and the rated voltage U0/U is 600 V. Approximate outer diameter is 5.4 mm.
