High-temperature cable for demanding applications

This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is designed to operate in extreme conditions where standard cables fail. Made with silver-plated copper and FEP fluoropolymer insulation, it ensures reliable operation at high temperatures and resistance to aggressive chemicals. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who need durable and safe cabling.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible construction with a multi-strand silver-plated copper core (class 5), which facilitates installation and ensures good flexibility. FEP (fluoropolymer) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to:

• High temperatures – continuous operation up to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C).
• Chemicals – alkalis, acids, oils, gasoline, food products.
• Flames – meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire resistance.
• Microorganisms – does not develop fungi or mold.
• Atmospheric conditions – completely waterproof and ozone resistant.

Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not contain substances that interfere with painting. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km, ensuring a high-quality connection.

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable finds application in a wide range of industries and devices:

• Installations in furnaces, brickworks, and heating equipment.

• Chemical industry – applications requiring resistance to aggressive media.
• Distribution boards operating in difficult thermal conditions.
• Where high radiation resistance is required (up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg).

The minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter for stationary installation and 10x the cable diameter for flexible installation, making it easier to route cables in tight spaces. The conductor cross-section of 4 mm² corresponds to AWG 12. The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V, and the test voltage is 2500 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 3.4 mm.
