Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x4 mm² white, conductor: tinned copper 25585
High-temperature cable for demanding applications
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in extreme conditions. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, and flames, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of industrial and specialized applications. This cable is particularly valued in control cabinet installations, furnaces, heating devices, and the chemical industry.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of tinned copper, which ensures good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The FEP (fluoroethylene propylene) fluoropolymer insulation guarantees reliable protection against external factors and enables operation in a very wide temperature range – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). The stranded wire class 5 provides flexibility and facilitates installation. The cable is flame retardant and is characterized by a high dielectric strength (min. 20 kV).
Applications and benefits
- Chemical industry: thanks to its resistance to alkalis, acids, oils, and gasoline, the cable performs perfectly in aggressive environments.
- Heating devices: high thermal resistance allows for safe use in furnaces, heating devices, and other high-temperature applications.
- Control cabinet installations: ideal for building control cabinets operating in difficult conditions.
- Food industry: the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting, allowing the cable to be used in contact with food.
- Resistance to microorganisms: prevents the development of fungi, which is important in specific applications.
- Long service life: resistance to climate change and radiation ensures long-term reliability.
Additionally, the cable is characterized by low dielectric losses and minimal water absorption. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x the cable diameter for stationary bending. The nominal conductor cross-section is 4 mm², and the rated voltage U0/U is 600 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 3.4 mm.
