Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x6 mm² blue, conductor: tinned copper 25593
Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This specialized wire with fluoropolymer FEP insulation is a solution for demanding applications where standard wires fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. Ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets.
Construction and properties
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire stands out with a construction ensuring long-lasting and safe operation. The strand made of tinned copper, twisted according to VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl.5 standards, guarantees good conductivity and flexibility. The insulation made of FEP-HELUFLON® provides not only resistance to extreme temperatures (from -100°C to +205°C, briefly up to +230°C), but also to aggressive chemical substances, such as alkalis, acids, oils and gasoline. Additionally, the material is non-flammable, resistant to microorganisms and completely waterproof.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -100°C to +205°C (briefly up to +230°C) – allows for use in the most demanding environments.
- Exceptional chemical resistance: ideal for working in the chemical industry and in places exposed to contact with aggressive substances.
- Low water absorption coefficient: ensures stable electrical parameters even in a humid environment.
- Radiation resistance: enables use in installations exposed to ionizing radiation (up to 1 x 106 cJ/kg).
- Safety: self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, meeting the standards DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
Applications and benefits
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire finds wide application in various industries:
- Bakery and ceramic industry: thanks to its resistance to high temperatures, it is perfect for ovens and heating devices.
- Chemical industry: resistance to aggressive chemicals guarantees safe operation in difficult conditions.
- Construction of switchgear cabinets: provides reliable connections in electrical installations exposed to high temperatures.
- Kitchen and measuring devices: safe operation even in contact with food or in conditions of high humidity.
- Industrial installations: everywhere where high resistance to external factors and long-term reliability are required.
Thanks to the 6 mm² cross-section, this wire is perfect for applications requiring the transfer of larger currents. The approximate outer diameter of 4.1 mm makes installation and routing of wires in tight spaces easier. The rated voltage U0/U of 600 V ensures safe use in various electrical installations.
