High-temperature cable for demanding applications
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in extreme conditions. Made of silver-plated copper and insulated with FEP fluoropolymer, it ensures reliable operation in places exposed to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. This cable is used both in industrial installations and in the construction of switchgear cabinets.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a flexible construction (conductor class 5), which facilitates installation and routing. The conductor made of silver-plated copper provides excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. FEP (fluoropolymer) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to:
- High temperatures – continuous operation up to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C).
- Chemical factors – alkalis, acids, oils, gasoline, food products.
- Flames – self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material (compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1 standards).
- Radiation – resistance up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
- Microorganisms and fungal growth.
Additionally, FEP insulation ensures minimal water absorption and water permeability, which increases the durability and reliability of the cable. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not contain substances that interfere with painting.

Thanks to its properties, this cable ensures safe and long-lasting operation even in the most demanding conditions. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km and the test voltage is 2500V. The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for stationary installation and 10x cable diameter for flexible installation. The conductor cross-section is 6 mm², and the rated voltage U0/U is 600V/600V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 4.1 mm.
