Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire is a specialized solution designed for operation in demanding environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemicals, making it an ideal choice for a variety of industrial and installation applications. This wire is particularly valued in places exposed to extreme thermal loads, such as furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, or kitchen installations.
Construction and properties
The wire is made of stranded copper core, tinned for better corrosion protection. Insulation made of FEP fluoropolymer (HELUFLON®) provides not only high thermal resistance (up to +205°C, briefly up to +230°C) and chemical resistance, but also excellent dielectric properties. Thanks to this, the wire maintains its parameters even in difficult working conditions. Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, guaranteeing safety and no impact on painting processes.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -100°C to +205°C (briefly up to +230°C) – allows for use in extreme conditions.
- Exceptional chemical resistance: resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food, oils and gasoline – ideal for use in the chemical and food industries.
- High insulation resistance: minimum insulation resistance of 2 GOhm/km ensures safe and reliable operation.
- Low water permeability: minimizes the risk of damage caused by moisture.
- Tinned copper core: provides good conductivity and protection against corrosion.
- Compliance with standards: the product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
Applications and benefits
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire is widely used in electrical installations requiring high reliability and resistance to difficult environmental conditions. It is ideal for building switchgear cabinets, heating devices and all kinds of industrial installations exposed to high temperatures or contact with aggressive chemicals. Its flexibility makes it easy to install even in tight spaces. The 6 mm² cross-section makes this wire perfect for applications requiring higher current carrying capacity.
- Installations in furnaces and heating devices
- Chemical industry (wires resistant to acids and alkalis)
- Construction of switchgear cabinets in difficult conditions
- Kitchen and measuring devices
- Applications requiring high thermal and chemical resistance
- Applications where high cable flexibility is required
This wire is an investment in the safety and long-term reliability of electrical installations – especially where standard solutions fail.
