This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a reliable solution for installations requiring resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. This cable is used both in the construction of switchgear cabinets, furnaces, kitchen appliances, and in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline. The CE mark confirms compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction: the copper core is silver-plated for better conductivity and corrosion resistance, and the insulation made of PTFE-HELUFLON® provides exceptional durability and safety. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a material with excellent dielectric and thermal properties – it allows operation in a wide temperature range from -190°C to +260°C (short-term even up to +300°C). In addition, this material is non-flammable, resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth, completely resistant to ozone and minimally absorbs water.

The insulation resistance is at least 1GOhm x km, which guarantees a high-quality electrical connection. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter – it is worth considering this during installation. The core can be tinned or nickel-plated on request – this is an option for more demanding applications.
