Construction and application
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). Its construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, insulated with high-quality PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) compliant with DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878 standards. This makes the cable resistant to flames, acids, bases, solvents, oils and gasoline.
It finds application in switchgear installations operating in extreme conditions, furnaces, brickworks, kitchen and measuring devices. It is also widely used in the chemical industry due to its chemical resistance. Meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
