PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.EE 1000 V cable, with white insulation, is designed for applications requiring exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. It is ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets. The cable is characterized by high reliability and long service life, which translates to minimizing downtime and operating costs.

Construction and properties

The HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y cable has a silver-plated copper core, ensuring excellent electrical conductivity. The insulation made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) guarantees resistance to temperatures from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C), as well as to aggressive chemicals – acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline. In addition, this material is non-flammable, resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth, and exhibits minimal water absorption. Complete resistance to ozone and atmospheric conditions makes it an ideal choice for outdoor applications.

Applications and additional information

The HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y cable is widely used in industrial installations, the construction of switchgear cabinets and in equipment operating in extreme thermal (furnaces, brickworks) and chemical (chemical industry) conditions. It is also an excellent choice for kitchen and measuring devices. Various core colors are available: black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) and other colors (8). The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request. The product complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
