Single-core PTFE cable HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG24/7 (0.21 mm²) brown, 600 V 25164
PTFE wire for extreme conditions
This brown HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire with a cross-section of 0.21 mm² is a specialized solution for applications requiring high resistance to temperature, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. The wire is characterized by a rated voltage of 600 V and is made of silver-plated copper, which ensures excellent conductivity and durability.
Construction and application
This wire is widely used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme temperatures – from –190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). It will be suitable in furnaces, brick factories, kitchen appliances, measuring devices and in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline. Its construction based on PTFE-HELUFLON® (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees reliability and safety. This insulation meets the standards of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878.
Durability and safety
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y wire is distinguished by exceptional resistance to a number of factors:
- High insulation resistance: minimizes the risk of breakdown and ensures safe operation.
- Low electrical losses: translate to energy efficiency of the installation.
- Non-flammability: self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
- Resistance to microorganisms and fungi: ensures hygiene and durability in demanding environments.
- Resistance to ozone and weather conditions: guarantees reliability even outdoors.
- Low water absorption: minimizes the impact of moisture on the electrical properties of the wire.
- No harmful substances: materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
Additionally, the wire is characterized by high radiation resistance (up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg) and a minimum bending radius of 10 x cable diameter. The CE mark confirms compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
