This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a specialized solution for installations requiring high resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures reliable operation even in the most extreme conditions. The cable is used in furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, the chemical industry and anywhere else where standard cabling fails.

Construction and material properties

The cable construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. HELUFLON® PTFE insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to high temperatures (up to +260°C, briefly +300°C) and aggressive chemicals – acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline. In addition, this material is characterized by low water permeability and high radiation resistance. The cable meets DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards. The core is made of silver-plated copper, and the insulation is made of PTFE-HELUFLON®. The cable has a nominal core cross-section of 1.94 mm² and an approximate outer diameter of 2.6 mm. The operating voltage is 600 V (type E), and the test voltage is 3.4 kV (type E). The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.

This cable is not only mechanically durable but also has self-extinguishing properties and does not spread fire – confirmed by tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and additional information

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is ideal for use in harsh industrial environments and anywhere high reliability and safety are required. It can be used in heating installations, industrial ovens, and in environments exposed to aggressive chemicals. Available cable colors are black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) and others on request. The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request. The product has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU.
