Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This red HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.EE cable is a specialized solution for installations requiring high resistance to temperature, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. Made of silver-plated copper and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, this cable ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding industrial applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction – the silver-plated copper core guarantees good conductivity, and the PTFE insulation provides exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures (from -190°C to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C). PTFE is a material with excellent dielectric properties, which translates to minimal energy losses. Additionally, the cable is resistant to chemicals, ozone, radiation and microorganisms – making it an ideal choice for applications in the chemical industry, bakeries, metallurgy or in kitchen appliances. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not contain substances that interfere with painting.

Application and compliance with standards

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is widely used in the construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme thermal conditions and in installations exposed to contact with aggressive chemicals. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards. The cable has passed tests confirming its non-flammability and flame retardancy in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards. The operating voltage of the cable is 1000V (EE type), and the test voltage is 5kV. The insulation resistance is at least 1GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.
