This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable, made with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) insulation, is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard cables fail. It features exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and radiation, making it an ideal choice for industrial applications, as well as installations exposed to extreme conditions. This cable is particularly valued in the construction of switchgear cabinets, furnaces, brickworks, and in the chemical industry.

Construction and material properties

The cable construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, ensuring good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation guarantees not only high dielectric strength but also stability over a wide temperature range – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). Additionally, this material is resistant to ozone, microorganisms, and fungi. The cable also features low water absorption and minimal water vapor permeability. It is worth emphasizing that the materials used are silicone and cadmium-free, which affects the safety and durability of the installation.

Application and compliance with standards

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E 600V cable is used wherever reliability and safety are required in difficult conditions. It works perfectly in installations exposed to high temperatures, aggressive chemical substances, and radiation. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking), confirming its compliance with European safety standards. The cable has a core cross-section of 0.9 mm² and an approximate outer diameter of 1.94 mm.
