Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable, with a cross-section of 0.57 mm² and an outer diameter of 1.67 mm, is designed for applications requiring the highest resistance to temperature, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. It is ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets. The cable is made of silver-plated copper and insulated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), guaranteeing reliability and long service life.

Application and properties

The HELUFLON cable is widely used in places exposed to extreme temperatures – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). It will work in furnaces, brick factories, kitchen appliances, measuring devices and in the chemical industry, where resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline is crucial. Its unique properties include:

Construction and compliance with standards

The cable is characterized by a solid construction: the silver-plated copper core is surrounded by PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The cable has passed material self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1. The operating voltage is 600V (type E) or 1000V (type EE), and the test voltage is 3.4kV or 5kV, respectively. The minimum insulation resistance is 1 GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.
