This brown HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a specialized solution for installations requiring reliability in harsh conditions. Made of silver-plated copper and insulated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), this cable features exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and radiation. It is ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets exposed to extreme loads.

Construction and properties ensuring long-term operation

The silver-plated copper core ensures excellent conductivity, and the PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation guarantees high resistance to external factors. This cable is resistant to high and low temperatures (from -190°C to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C), acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and radiation. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting. It is worth mentioning its non-flammability and resistance to microbial growth – features particularly important in demanding industrial environments. Minimal water permeability and high insulation resistance are additional advantages of this product.

Applications and compliance with standards

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is used in installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme thermal conditions – e.g., in furnaces, brickworks, or kitchen appliances. It also works perfectly in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to contact with aggressive chemicals. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The cable has a working voltage of 1000V and a test voltage of 5kV. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. Different core colors are available – to order the appropriate color, add the symbol to the catalog number (1 = black, 2 = red, 3 = blue, 4 = brown, 5 = white, etc.). The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request.
