HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y Cable – Reliability in Extreme Conditions

This specialized cable, made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), is an ideal solution for applications requiring exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and environmental conditions. The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is designed for installation in places exposed to extreme thermal loads, such as furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, or measuring devices. It will also be useful in the chemical industry, where resistance to aggressive substances is key.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a silver-plated copper core, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets the stringent standards of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878. Thanks to this, the cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). In addition, PTFE provides excellent electrical insulation and radiation resistance.

This cable is also distinguished by:

Technical parameters and application

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable with a core cross-section of 0.57 mm² and an outer diameter of 1.67 mm is designed to operate at a voltage of 600 V (type E) or 1000 V (type EE). The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, which facilitates assembly even in tight spaces. The insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km, which ensures high quality electrical connection.

Available cable colors: black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) and other colors (8). The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request.
