HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y Cable – Reliability in Extreme Conditions
This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a specialized solution for applications requiring exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and fire. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures safe and long-lasting operation in harsh industrial environments. This cable is used in control cabinet installations, furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, as well as in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to aggressive substances.
Construction and Properties
The cable construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, which improves conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878 standards, guaranteeing the highest quality and reliability. PTFE provides exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures (from -190°C to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C), as well as to chemicals, ozone, and radiation. Additionally, this material is non-flammable and does not promote the growth of microorganisms or fungi.

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 600 V and a core cross-section of 0.38 mm². Its approximate outer diameter is 1.47 mm. The cable has a class 5 core (flexible stranded), which ensures flexibility and ease of installation. The insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km, guaranteeing high electrical insulation quality. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. The test voltage is 3.4kV for type E and 5kV for type EE.
