Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG22/19 (0.38 mm²) blue, 1000 V 25393
Durable PTFE cable for extreme conditions
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.EE cable, designed for operation in harsh conditions, is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation. It is ideal for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets, where reliability and safety are required. This cable is particularly recommended for use in furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances and the chemical industry.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction that ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The silver-plated copper core guarantees good conductivity, and the HELUFLON® PTFE insulation provides excellent dielectric properties and resistance to extreme temperatures – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). PTFE is a material with exceptional chemical stability, making the cable resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline. In addition, the material is non-flammable and resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth.
It is worth paying attention to a few key features:
- Wide operating temperature range: enables use in extreme thermal conditions.
- Chemical resistance: ideal for chemically aggressive environments.
- Radiation resistance: ensures reliability in areas exposed to radiation.
- Low water absorption: minimizes the risk of failure due to moisture.
- Compliance with standards: the product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Technical parameters and applications
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.EE cable with a cross-section of 1 x AWG 22/19 (1xAWG22/19) is designed to operate at a voltage of 1000V (EE type). The insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km, ensuring a high-quality electrical connection. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces. Thanks to its properties, the cable finds application not only in industry, but also in measuring and laboratory devices. The core is silver-plated, which increases its corrosion resistance and allows it to operate at higher temperatures – up to +200°C for ordinary copper, +180°C for tinned copper and +260°C for nickel-plated copper. Available cable colors allow for easy identification of the cores (blue color). To order a different color, add the appropriate symbol to the catalog number: 1 = black, 2 = red, 3 = blue, 4 = brown, 5 = white, 6 = transparent, 7 = two-color or 8 = other colors. The bare core can be ordered tinned or nickel-plated on request.
