HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y Cable – Reliability in Extreme Conditions

This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a specialized solution for applications requiring exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and mechanical stress. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation in the most demanding industrial environments. The cable is designed for installation and construction of switchgear cabinets, as well as for use in furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, measuring devices, and the chemical industry.

Construction and Properties

The cable construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to high temperatures (up to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C) and to aggressive chemicals – acids, bases, solvents, oils, and gasoline. Additionally, this material is characterized by low water permeability and high radiation resistance.

This cable stands out with a number of structural features: a silver-plated copper core provides optimal conductivity and durability, and PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation guarantees thermal and chemical resistance. The cable features a wide operating temperature range from -190°C to +260°C (briefly +300°C) and a rated voltage of 600 V. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable outer diameter, making installation easy even in tight spaces. The cable is also radiation resistant up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is used wherever standard cables fail. It is ideal for installations exposed to extreme temperatures, chemical exposure, or requiring high reliability. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
