High-temperature wire HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y – reliability in extreme conditions

This specialized wire, made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), is an ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y wire is characterized by exceptional durability and reliability, making it an excellent choice for both professional installers and end-users.

Construction and properties

The wire consists of a silver-plated copper core, providing excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation guarantees not only mechanical strength but also resistance to high temperatures (up to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C) and aggressive chemical substances. This makes the wire suitable for industries such as the chemical, food, bakery, and in the construction of control panel enclosures operating in extreme conditions.

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y wire is designed for installation in places exposed to extreme temperatures, chemical substances, and harsh environmental conditions. It is ideally suited for:

The wire meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and standards DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673. The operating voltage is 600V (type E) or 1000V (type EE), and the test voltage is 3.4kV or 5kV, respectively. The insulation resistance is at least 1GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.
