PTFE wire for extreme conditions
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire, with a cross-section of 0.35 mm² and an outer diameter of approximately 1.47 mm, is designed for operation in demanding environments. It is characterized by high temperature resistance – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C) – making it an ideal choice for industrial applications such as furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances or measuring devices. This wire is also resistant to chemicals, oils, gasoline and radiation.
Construction and properties
The wire is made of silver-plated copper core, ensuring good conductivity and durability. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to external factors and ensures safe use. PTFE is a material with low water permeability and high chemical resistance – these are key features in applications exposed to an aggressive environment. Additionally, the wire is non-flammable and resistant to the development of microorganisms and fungi.

Application and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire is used in installations and construction of switchboard cabinets operating in extreme conditions, as well as in the chemical industry, where resistance to aggressive chemicals is required. This is a product compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V, making it suitable for many industrial and commercial applications. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces.
