Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG24/19 (0.24 mm²) transparent, 600 V 25176
High-temperature PTFE wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire with a cross-section of 0.24 mm² is the ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding installations. The wire is designed for operation at 600 V and is characterized by high flexibility thanks to its multi-strand core.
Application and construction – the key to durability
The HELUFLON wire is widely used in switchgear installations, furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, and the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline. Its construction guarantees long-lasting and safe operation:
- Silver-plated copper core provides excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance.
- PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878, confirming its high quality and reliability.
- Wide operating temperature range from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C) allows the wire to be used in extreme thermal conditions.
Properties and benefits – why choose this wire?
The HELUFLON wire stands out with a number of properties that make it an exceptionally attractive choice for professionals and end-users:
- High chemical resistance: complete resistance to ozone, weathering, and chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and solvents.
- Non-flammability: self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, and IEC 60332-1 standards.
- Low electrical losses: minimizes energy losses in the installation.
- Biological resistance: prevents the development of fungi and microorganisms.
- Low water absorption: ensures stable electrical parameters even in humid environments.
- Wide operating temperature range: enables use in extreme thermal conditions.
- Compliance with standards: the product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Additionally, the wire is available in various colors (black, red, blue, brown, white, transparent) which facilitates the identification of cores in the installation. The core can also be supplied bare, tinned, or nickel-plated on request.
