Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG24/7 (0.21 mm²) black, 600 V 25161
Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions
This high-quality HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable, with a rated voltage of 600V, is designed for use in demanding industrial environments and installations where standard cables fail. Its construction and materials ensure reliability and safety in extreme temperatures and aggressive chemical media. The cable is particularly recommended for building switchgear cabinets, ovens, kitchen appliances, and in the chemical industry.
Construction and properties
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable has a silver-plated copper core, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to high temperatures (up to +260°C, briefly even +300°C) and to chemical attack – acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline. Additionally, PTFE provides low electrical losses and high insulation resistance. The cable is flame retardant, resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth, and completely resistant to ozone and weathering. Water absorption is minimal, further increasing its durability.
Application and compliance with standards
This cable is widely used in installations operating under extreme thermal conditions – ovens, brickworks, or measuring devices. It will also prove useful where resistance to aggressive chemical substances is required – in the chemical industry or laboratories. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). According to DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673, it is made of special fluoropolymer PTFE. The core cross-section is 0.21 mm², and its class is class 5 (multi-strand flexible). The approximate outer diameter is 1.32 mm. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. The insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km.
