Construction and properties

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable has a silver-plated copper core, providing good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees excellent dielectric properties and resistance to extreme temperatures – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). PTFE is an exceptionally chemically stable material, resistant to acids, bases, solvents, oils and gasoline. Additionally, the cable is characterized by high radiation resistance and minimal water permeability. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free.
