Highly durable PTFE cable for extreme conditions
This brown HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.EE cable, with a cross-section of 1xAWG24/7, is a specialized solution for applications requiring exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and fire. It is ideal for industrial installations, switchgear cabinets and equipment operating in harsh conditions. Its construction based on PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees reliability and long life.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a silver-plated copper core, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE insulation – a material with exceptional properties – provides resistance to high temperatures (up to +260°C, briefly even +300°C) and aggressive chemicals such as acids, alkalis, solvents and oils. In addition, PTFE is a non-flammable material and resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth. It is worth noting that the materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free.
The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards. It has a working voltage of type E = 600V or type EE = 1000V and a test voltage of 3.4kV or 5kV respectively. The insulation resistance is min. 1GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. The cable is also radiation resistant up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
