Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG24/7 (0.21 mm²) red, 1000 V 25362
Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a reliable solution for installations requiring resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. This cable is used both in the construction of switchgear cabinets and in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to contact with flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline. Made of silver-plated copper and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation in demanding applications.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction: a silver-plated copper core provides good conductivity, and HELUFLON® PTFE insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to external factors. PTFE meets DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878 standards, confirming its high quality and reliability. Additionally, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium, and substances that interfere with painting.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C) – enables use in extreme thermal conditions.
- High chemical resistance: ideal for environments exposed to aggressive chemicals.
- Low electrical losses: ensures efficient power transmission.
- Non-flammable: increases installation safety.
- Radiation resistant: allows use in conditions exposed to ionizing radiation (up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg).
- Minimal water permeability: protects against corrosion and moisture damage.
- Available colors: black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), bicolor (7) and other colors (8) – facilitates cable identification in the installation.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is perfect for the following applications:
- Installations in furnaces and brickworks
- Kitchen and measuring devices
- Chemical industry
- Construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme conditions
The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards. The test voltage is typically 5kV for the EE version and 3.4kV for the E version. Insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.
